CHILDREN 1ST is one of Scotland’s leading child welfare charities. For more than 120 years we have been working to give every child in Scotland a safe and secure childhood. We support families under stress, protect children from harm and neglect, help children recover from abuse and promote children’s rights and interests.
Our work with children and families informs and influences all our policy and campaigns. Not only do we try to influence legislation, we also campaign to change attitudes towards children and to help create a better world for all children.
A key part of our work in helping children is helping their parents. Our free helpline, ParentLine Scotland, on 0808 800 2222 supports parents so they can provide the best possible care for their children.
